Referee Butch Mousseaux suffered a serious head injury prior to Friday’s WCHA Final Five semifinal game between Michigan Tech and Ferris State.
The veteran official caught an edge and fell to the ice during warm-ups, hitting his head on the ice. Mousseaux was reportedly not wearing a helmet at the time of his injury.
