No Discipline for Blue Jackets’ Clarkson for Kneeing

David Clarkson takes his preseasons very seriously. In 2013, he was suspended 10 games for leaving the bench to join an altercation during a preseason game. On Thursday, Clarkson once again found himself at the mercy of the Department of Player Safety. The Blue Jackets forward delivered a knee to Minnesota Wild winger Justin Fontaine. Referees Steve Kozari and Dave Lewis gave Clarkson a five-minute major for kneeing and a game misconduct.
