Hockey East Referee Takes Out UNH Player, Leading to Goal

University of Vermont’s Dan Senkbeil was the beneficiary of a perfect pick play on New Hampshire defenseman Brett Pesce. The pick wasn’t by one of Senkbeil’s teammates, though. It was by referee Kevin Keenan. As Pesce circled back into the UNH zone, he ran smack into Keenan, who was skating backwards within the faceoff circle. The puck slide toward the slot.
