Lining ain’t easy.
As Minnesota’s Martin Hanzal kept the puck in along the blueline, linesman Ryan Galloway confirmed the play was onside. With Colorado’s Gabriel Landeskog pressuring, Hanzal turned and fired the puck into the zone.
Instead of glancing off the glass and deep into the zone, the puck caught Galloway in the face.
Galloway was helped off the ice. The game continued with three officials.

Linesman Ryan Galloway is currently being assessed by medical personnel after being hit with the puck during the first period of the Wild/Avalanche game.
The Star Tribune’s Michael Russo reports that Galloway suffered a broken jaw on the play. He plans to work his next scheduled game and is not expected to miss any time.
