Brandon Dubinsky has never been afraid to play the body. The Columbus center is fourth on the team in hits this season. He was looking to set the tone on Tuesday night as the Blue Jackets met the Vancouver Canucks. 

Dubinsky lined up the hit near the blueline, then delivered a solid body check…  on linesman Tony Sericolo. 

Judging by those empty seats behind the glass, at least not many fans witnessed Dubi’s faux pas.

Sericolo’s tough – as are all NHL officials. He shook off the hit and remained in the game.  Here’s another angle of the play:
