Officiating can be a thankless job. You’re subject to long hours, lots of travel, and getting yelled at – at some point – by those both on and off the ice. It’s nice to get a little appreciation.  Maybe even a hug. This one, though, was a bit awkward.

Boston Bruins center David Krejci was excited and rightfully so, as he’d just scored his club’s first goal of the 2015-16 campaign. He celebrated with the first person he could find — referee Francois St. Laurent.
