Brandon Bollig will miss the Chicago Blackhawks’ next two games.   When he’s eligible to return, Chicago could be facing Minnesota in a dramatic Game 7.   They could also be preparing for the Western Conference Final. Or they could be pulling out their clubs and hitting the links.   Whatever happens in Games 5 and 6, Bollig won’t be a part of it.

The gritty Blackhawks forward has been suspended for boarding Minnesota Wild defenseman Keith Ballard in Game 4 of their second-round matchup.

Bollig was given a two-minute minor for boarding on the play. Referees for the game were Dave Jackson and Dan O’Rourke.

Ballard went to the locker room and did not return to the game. He’s also expected to miss Sunday’s Game 5.
